Kailash Kher is heavily influenced by Sufi music and looks upto the late Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan.

He is part of the band Kailasa and has also done playback singing for many Indian movies. His unaffected, unique and expressive voice sets him apart from other run of the mill singers. It left even the Oscar winner A R Rahman impressed.
